Shawn and Jennifer have been married since 2002, and became Tenino residents the following year. They have two high-school-age sons together, Tanis & Tristan, as well as the unique blessing of considering Boles one of their own, an exchange student from Egypt who graduated from Tenino High School in 2019, and is now pursuing a medical career. The Von Bargens have been members of Cornerstone Community Church for over a decade, and in that time, God has challenged them to deepen their commitment at every turn. Shawn specifically has been involved as a deacon, in music ministry, men's ministry, and filled the pulpit during our time without a full-time pastor. He is also a licensed Christian counselor. Recently, Shawn felt the call of God to the pastoral ministry, and after much prayer and consideration, we consider ourselves blessed to have been able to retain him as our pastor and lead elder.
