CONNECTING WITH GOD

1. The Lordship of Jesus Christ

We acknowledge Jesus Christ as the head of our church and commit ourselves and all our activities to pursuing His will. (Ephesians 1:22-23; Romans 10:9-13; Philippians 2:9-11)

2. The Centrality of the Bible

Biblical Teaching - We are committed to teach God’s Word so that Christians are equipped to follow Christ in every sphere of life. (2 Timothy 3:16,17; Ephesians 4:11-12)

Biblical Faithfulness - We promote dwelling in, remaining in, and continuing in the learning and application of God’s Word. (John 8:31; Colossians 3:16; 2 Timothy 2:15)

3. Worship, Prayer and Praise

True Worship - We desire to acknowledge God’s supreme value and worth in our personal lives and in the corporate worship of our church. (Romans 12:1-2; Psalm 150:1-6)

Prayer and Praise - We rely on personal and corporate prayer in the conception, planning, and execution of all the ministries and activities of this church. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18; Philippians 4:6)

TRUSTING GOD AND HIS GRACE

4. Trusting God

We are committed to trusting God’s promises and provision as we live out who we are in Christ and pursue His design for our lives. (Proverbs 3:5-6)

5. Grace-Orientation

We value an atmosphere of grace where our people serve Christ from hearts of love and thankfulness rather than guilt and condemnation. (Romans 6:14; Romans 8:1; 2 Peter 3:18)

CONNECTING WITH ONE ANOTHER

6. Loving One Another

We are always seeking God’s best for one another. We believe loving relationships should permeate every aspect of church life. (John 13:35; 1 Timothy 1:5; Matthew 22:37-39)

7. Sense of Community (Family)

We encourage commitment to and participation in biblically functioning growth groups as an effective means of building relationships, stimulating spiritual growth, and developing leaders. (Acts 2:44-46; Hebrews 10:24-25)

8. Gospel Impact

We are to be a light of the Gospel in our community as we serve others in the name of Jesus Christ. (Matthew 5:16; 2 Corinthians 5:20)

9. Godly Leadership (Empowering Leadership)

We promote servant leadership as we equip, support, motivate, and mentor godly men and women who have leadership gifts. (2 Timothy 2:2; 1 Timothy 3:1-13)

10. Teamwork (Mobilized Congregation)

We seek to equip all our uniquely designed and gifted people to bear much fruit in order to effectively accomplish the work of our ministry. (Ephesians 4:11-13; John 15:8)
